Problems:
  • At the start of the night, we did not turn Vsub on before commencing observations. This resulted in the loss of about 10-15mins. We "Reset", turned on Vsub and performed another vsub_flush, and then took 3 g-band test images near the target postiion as originally planned. Perhaps more warning from the system that we are doing something kind-of stupid like that might be useful. E.g is running vsub_flush when Vsub is of, trigger a message asking if we really wanted to do so.
Comments:
  • Cloud cover starting from approximately UT07:40. This resulted in us changing from u-band to i-band exposures. No time was lost, but this impacts our preferred observing strategy and photometric depth.
