During DES time, 2205. TCS application on operator1 froze.
DES team. Seeing large E-W jitter tonight at southern dec (-41 deg), but near meridian, also at zenith. Seems better at first when moving away, but then worse again. Klaus installed a new hexapod LUT before we began tonight. Back to original hex LUT, no change. So this behavior is significantly worse than what we have seen in the last few nights.
Later in community SV time, telescope much better wrt jitter, but not clear why. We are at similar range of declinations and HA. E.g., at 5 am, -20 deg, HA=3.5 hr, see e=0.03 with FWHM=1.2''.
Comments:
Night report form barfed "form outdated." So this is abbreviated.
Smooth night.
