Audience: Past and prospective DECam and DECam-data users
Rationale: DECam has been installed on the Blanco telescope at CTIO for just over 5 years and has been remarkably successful for the Dark Energy Survey (DES) that has used 30% of the telescope time, and also for the many Community Science projects, some of these being very extensive surveys in their own right As it is three years since DECam Community Science Workshop 2015, and we are near the time when DES will be completed, it is an optimal time to both highlight DECam science results, and to discuss and plan future opportunities. We anticipate offering DECam on the Blanco well into the era when LSST will be operating. The aim of the workshop is to bring together past and future users of DECam and DECam data and so help to identify possible future projects and to foster collaborations. And for NOAO, it will help us to optimize instrument and telescope operations.
