1. Check "temp4m" and "weat" in order to detect eventual problems.

2. Just after sunset, open the lateral sliding doors.

3. Check that CORR is on and F/14 OFF.

4. Check the telescope collimation: correct status (azimuth, tilt) of M2. If this is the first night of an F/14 run, perform the Iman analysis. Turn off the Iman camera in the TCP when you are done.

ALL these previous steps (1-4) should be accomplished after sunset (during evening twilight) and preferably before the astronomer is actually ready to start.

5. When the astronomers are starting up, remind them about the need to take focus sequences: one just after focusing the instrument (and before taking science data), and a second one by the time it is one hour before morning twilight (consult with them what time will be most convenient in order to minimize the impact on their science program).

6. Have the first focus sequence done.

7. Remind the astronomer when it is time to do the second sequence.

8. Check periodically "temp4m" and "weat".

9. At the end of the night:

chimney fans OFF

mirror sucker OFF

air extractors OFF

mirror cooler ON

dome air stirring fan ON
