SPECIAL NOAO CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR CTIO/BLANCO + DECAM

NOAO is issuing a Special Call for proposals for the 2013A semester (for the period from mid March to July 31, 2013) to use the Dark Energy Camera (DECam) on the CTIO Blanco telescope. Forty-five (45) extra nights with Blanco+DECam will be available during this period.

Proposals for other instruments or telescopes will not be considered for this special call.

Details about the DECam instrument and its performance can be found at  www.ctio.noao.edu/noao/content/dark-energy-camera-decam [2].  Information and updates on DECam will also be available at the January 2013 AAS meeting at the NOAO booth. Potential proposers may also be interested in attending the AAS special session on the Dark Energy Survey (Session #335 on Wednesday January 9, 2013).

DECam proposals for this Special Call should be submitted using the standard NOAO proposal web interface (http://www.noao.edu/noaoprop/noaoprop.html [3]) and are due by Thursday evening, 31 January 2013, 11:59pm MST.
