Observing Plan

  1. standard bias and dome flat sequence
  2. evening standard stars
  3. Star Flat (engineering time)
  4. run ObsTac queue
  5. End of the night standard star

Conditions

  1. weather in afternoon: 4pm (local): Scattered cirrus
  2. weather after sunset: 7pm (local): Photometric all night. Near-full moon.
  3. Seeing conditions: Median: 0.96 RMS: 0.18
  4. Wind conditions: Variable – up to 20 mph

Accomplishments

A productive night.

  1. Afternoon: Telescope engineering completed. Normal calibrations.
  2. Afternoon: Data quality updated.
    • Cell phone tested – received a missed call from a spammer in Naperville.
  3. Evening: Standards: SDSSJ1442, E6-A, E8-A
  4. Star Flats (Y, z, i, r, g, u). Handover to DES at 01:45 UT.
  5. Survey Exposures 675118-675216; 675251-675284
  6. SN exposures 675217-675250. X3z, C3i, C3z
  7. End of night: Standards (J0100,J0200,J0320)
