"Extreme Emission Line Galaxies at High Redshift" [1]

Date:
Friday, July 17, 2015 - 15:30
Location:
AURA Lecture Hall
Speaker:
HYUNJIN SHIM, Kyungpook National University and Gemini South Visiting Astronomer
Talk Abstract:

Recent works have showed that strong emission line galaxies are ubiquitous among high-redshift star-forming galaxies. The presence of strong emission lines raises important questions about the evolution of galaxy spectral energy distribution, and requires careful consideration in studies of high-redshift galaxies. In this talk, I will briefly review these studies and discuss their implications.
