ENR CTIO Blanco 4-m 2022-07-27

Date:
Wednesday, July 27, 2022
Telescope:
CTIO Blanco 4-m
Submitter:
Guillermo Damke
Submitter Email:
guillermo.damke@noirlab.edu
Observer Support:
Hernan Tirado
Night Assistant:
Alberto Alvarez
Also Present:
Alfredo Zenteno
Problems:
At the beginning of the night: the "center" command would not work. We called Diego and he found out that the RA value was empty (shown as ' ' in the image header). We called Omar and he fixed the problem by adding a line of code in the TCS computer. After this, the center command worked flawlessly.
At 5:24UT: we had to reboot the DECal computer.
Comments:
This was an engineering night used to test DECam after the snow storm and cooling down of the instrument. The night was also used for training G. Damke by A. Zenteno.
As a note, the Internet connection was stable and good for the whole night. We observed from the Recinto, in the first half; and from home (outside of the Recinto) for the second half of the night.
