ENR CTIO Blanco 4-m 2018-01-03

Date:
Wednesday, January 3, 2018
Telescope:
CTIO Blanco 4-m
Submitter:
Jen Marshall, Darren DePoy, Travis Prochaska
Submitter Email:
marshall@tamu.edu
Observer Support:
Hernan Tirado
Night Assistant:
Alberto Alvarez
Also Present:
Kathy Vivas, Jackie Seron, Rodrigo Hernandez
Problems:

One of us (Marshall) lost wifi access on my laptop several times during the night.  It had been working fine for two days but now at times I can connect to noao_south but the connection does not have internet access.

Comments:

DES observing in first half.  Nightsum: http://des-ops.fnal.gov:8080/nightsum/nightsum-2018-01-03/nightsum.html

DECal engineering in second half.  DECal is operational and a scan to search for out of band light was started. However, after about 1 hour the system hanged and the scan was aborted. There was not time to start again. Cooling system was repaired and worked well.

We plan to do the realignment during daytime today (Thu).
