On Friday Oct 7th, astronomers from La Serena and Copiapó met together to share and discuss their scientific projects. The University of La Serena was the host for this meeting whose goal was to encourage collaboration of research among astronomers in the region. About 30 astronomers from CTIO, Gemini, Las Campanas, Universidad de La Serena and Universidad de Atacama participated in this 2016 Astro Jamboree.
