We spent two hours in AEON engineering and AEON introduction for the current turno crew, before we started actual observations and continued the training for the turno. Engineering time was used to fix a miscommunication issue between NEWFIRM and the OSM that did not happen in the last run. Specifically, there was a missing string in replies sent by the instrument that were expected by the OSM. We called Marco Bonati and he fixed the problem.
Some of the time lost to weather during the second half was used for dark exposures. So detectors got turned off at the usual time. No extra calibration scripts were left running at the end of the night.
