


A live webcam shows the Dark Energy Camera (DECam) on the Blanco 4-meter telescope on Cerro Tololo. The image above is from April 27, 2012. The image below is the most recent image.
NOAO technical and safety staff from Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO) and Kitt Peak National
Observatory (KPNO), along with staff from Fermilab and other Dark Energy Survey partner institutions, collaborated
on the DECam installation. Commissioning is now underway. You can also receive updates
and see new photos in the "Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO)" Facebook group.
The webcam images have been combined into daily videos posted on YouTube. Here are a few highlights.

Commissioning of DECam with the Blanco 4-meter telescope began in September 2012, with first light on September 11 2012.
