Talk Abstract:
The Gemini South Adaptive Optics Imager (GSAOI) is a near-infrared adaptive optic camera that will be used with the Gemini Multi-conjugate Adaptive Optics System (GeMS) on Gemini South. GSAOI was built by the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics (RSAA) of The Australian National University and will provide diffraction limited images in the 0.9 - 2.4 micrometer wavelength range.
We will present some results from the analysis of the observations taken during the last five commmissioning runs, from December 2011 to April 2012. We studied the characteristics of the photometric system and the field distortions introduced by the optic system.
