Date:
Thursday, November 30, 2023
Telescope:
CTIO Blanco 4-m
Submitter:
K.Boutsia, K. Vivas, G. Damke
Observer Support:
Hernan Tirado
Night Assistant:
Alberto Alvarez
Also Present:
Kathy Vivas, Guillermo Damke
Problems:

The hexapod failed 8 times during the first half:

09:29 CLT - slewing to the first target after filter change

10:05 CLT

10:31 CLT

11:25 CLT

12:16 CLT - after we changed field

03:32 UT

03:58 UT

04:34 UT

During observation of satellites by the end of the night, the Hexapod failed twice. However, I excluded the hexapod in half of the exposures, because I observe each field twice.

7:22 UT

7:44 UT

Comments:

DECal scan of N1008 done between 2-4am. Scan observations explicitly exclude the hexapod so no errors were expected during the scan (and indeed there were no erros during this time).

Observation of Starlinks in the last 1.75 hours of the night used a strategy that excluded the hexapod in half of the exposures.
