ENR CTIO Blanco 4-m 2023-08-01

Primary tabs

Date:
Tuesday, August 1, 2023
Telescope:
CTIO Blanco 4-m
Submitter:
Keerthi Kunnumkai, Tomás Cabrera
Submitter Email:
Observer Support:
Hernan Tirado
Night Assistant:
Alberto Alvarez
Problems:

1. Low pointing at 11.16pm, unable to observe target, fixed by the night assistant by 11.28pm.

2. OMLAApex targets had high exposure times of 327s, ccds almost saturated (full moon, targets close to moon with long exposure). Night assistant and Kathy Vivas adviced to delete these long exposure json scripts (all of OMLAApex)

3. Had to delete 90s and 110s exposures of DESIRT_S82_rz and DESIRT_S82_2_rz, since the coordinates reached close to 20000 ADU/s, which is near the telescope limit

4. SISPI crashed a couple times during the second half, perhaps due to obstruction from shutter.

5. 03:08 local time: DEBASS/EVERYTHING/2023[nzu,nnz]_P1 were both obstructed by the shutter, so the remainder of their exposures were cut when this was realized.
