ENR CTIO Blanco 4-m 2016-08-18

We spent the early part of the night, reacquainting ourselves with ARCoiRIS and writing notes for how to setup the instrument, take calibrations, etc.  Here are a few of the issues we ran into:

1) write expo seems to turn itself on after you restart the ts4 interface.  Even if the box was not checked, it sometimes wrote EXPO files.

2) we had another random hang tonight, where it is finishing a dither sequence and winds up continuously overwriting the penultimate image in a sequence.  See file #151 for an example

3) after the issue with (2), we exitted from the software and restarted.  we could not get the Detectors to turn on (and the buttons to properly indicate if they were on).  We noticed that there will still some PAN windows open, so we force killed them.  On restarting the software, we still had issues, so we rebooted the ts4 machines (tspec1 and tspec0).  We could not get tspec0 to reboot, however.  (Sean has more details).  Eventually we got tspec0 rebooted, but then tspec1 was not talking to tspec0.  Maybe the order of rebooting matters?  After rebooting tspec1 again, things seemed fine.

4) The fits headers have zeroes for the TELFOCUS, AIRMASS, PARANGLE, seems like maybe there is a problem with the instrument communicating with the TCS?

5) regardless of the issues above, bad seeing, and some cirrus, we still got some good spectra.
