There was a major Internet shortage at the beginning of the night, affecting several regions in northern Chile. This caused the lost of Internet/phone communications to the summit and to the NOIRLab-Chile network from the outside world.
During all the failure, the operators at the mountain remained in touch with us (Alfredo Zenteno and Guillermo Damke), and other Tololo staff to explain the problems and trying to fix the situation through the personal cellphones. However, the operators reported that they needed to work from outside the console because the weak phone signal inside the console resulted in a slow connection. Anyway, the operators found a way to receive our instructions and observing files, so that they could start the observation of standard stars and some science exposures while the Internet connection was still down (thank you so much for finding a solution!). At some point, we could login to the SISPI GUI from the Recinto and proceed observing almost normally after. Finally, the Internet connection was back at 22:50 local time aproximately.
The rest of the night continued normally.

Just thank you to all the personel involved in trying to find a workaround to the Internet failure, which allowed us to collect images even with no Internet connection to Tololo. (Manuel Hernandez , Claudio Aguilera, Humberto Orrego, Rodrigo Hernandez in Tololo. Carlos Segovia, Mauricio Rojas and Marco Bonati in La Serena).
