Observing Plan

  1. standard bias and dome flat sequence
  2. evening standard stars
  3. run ObsTac queue
  4. end of the night standard star
  5. end of night calibrations

Conditions

  1. weather: Photometric all night.
  2. weather during night: 2:50 am (local time) Closed due to rising humidity.
  3. weather during night: 4:12 am (local time) Reopened.
  4. Seeing conditions: Median: 1.7 arcsec, rms 0.26
  5. Wind conditions: 5-25 mph
  6. Humidity: 40% at start; rises above 85% at 2:48 (local time), back down later

Accomplishments

Lots of more or less acceptable WF g/r images with dodgy seeing. Multiple
supernova fields, some bad, most (hopefully) good.

  1. Afternoon: Zeroes, double flats (ugrizY)
  2. Evening: Standards (J2140,E8-A,E6-A)
  3. Survey Exposures 676692-676837; 676894-676900
  4. SN exposures 676838-676855; 676859-676893 X2, X3g, X3r, X1 (partial), S2, S1, C1, C2, X3i, X1 (again)
  5. End of night: Standards (J0100,J0200,J0320) Last standard is ~30 degrees from moon.
  6. Wildlife report: 1 condor

Notes for Data Management

  1. Exposure 676811 includes Alpha Gru, which may cause this image to fail QC, but should be declared good so we don’t keep repeating. (Surrounding images look OK r.e. seeing and sky).
