First half: Enginnering. We completed the realignment of the fiber projector units in the DECal system. All 4 fiber projectors were re-aligned. It was quite tricky to reach all but one of the projectors. And we needed to do several iterations with the telescope at a position in which the projectors could be reached with the lift and pointing to the white spot.
The whole process took ~5 hours. Excellent work on site by Humberto Orrego, Hernan Tirado and Alfredo Zenteno. I also thank the remote help from Alistair Walker, Mauricio Rojas and Klaus Honscheid that were important to solve several difficulties we found in the way.
The power box of the DECal system was replaced by one kindly lended by SOAR (thanks FabĂan!) and configured by Humberto. It worked fine. We need to buy a new one in order to return this one to SOAR.
There was no time left for going to the sky and complete the starflats in u, VR and N964.
Second half: science observations for 2017A-0936. Everything went fine.
