*Conditions*
# Clear skies.
# Rasicam mostly clear, some power to the south and east.
# Wind: (Q1) ~7mph, (Q2) ~7mph, (Q3) ~15mph, (Q4) ~7mph
# Bright moon: ~92%
# Seeing: (Q1) 1.4", (Q2) 1.5", (Q3) 1.2", (Q4) 1.0"
# DIMM seeing at 1.1 arcsec at midpoint
# Low dome/primary mirror differential temperature ~3 deg C at midpoint.
# Seeing variable, but good portion with ~ 1 arcsec
*Accomplishments*
# 3 standard star fields: SDSSJ0200-0000, E1-A, SDSSJ2140-0000
# About 184 Y-band survey exposures
# SN-C3 (i), SN-C2
# GPS check (OK), Weather check (OK), aTmCam check (OK)
# 2 standard star fields: SDSSJ0200-0000, SDSSJ0320-0000
*Narrative*
# DJJ first half of the night
# Guider turned down to 300 ms due to bright sky
# Community observer hand over early (04:25 UTC).
# 3 standard star fields.
# kentools "ephem" seems to incorrectly predict moon phase and position (and does not update through the night). ephem: 0.833, Tololo env.: 0.91, pyephem: 0.91, jskycalc: 0.915, eyeball: bright.
# kentools, as opened by "start_obs2", would not load exposures: "can't read "HDU(62)": no such element in array". Re-launching kentools in a new terminal fixed the problem.
# First obstac exposure at 04:44 (469488).
# Y-band survey exposures in SPT-W region (Tiling-5)
# PSF dropped ~1 arcsec (05:25 UTC)
# Moved to SN-C fields
# Wind dropped to ~7 mph
# Back to Y-band survey exposures in the body of the footprint (mostly Tiling-4) close to the zenith.
# Started taking Y-band exposures at higher airmass. Unsure why obstac chose to move closer to the moon rather than towards the south.
