We had some problems understanding the instructions to turn of the DX/DY/tip/tilt as posted here:
https://cdcvs.fnal.gov/redmine/projects/decamops/wiki/Using_AOS_%28Adapt...
which says "In this [Hexapod trim] window enter a 0 (zero, not the letter O) in the fields for DX, DY, tip and tilt. The fields are not labeled (we'll fix that eventually). From left to right they are DX, DY, DZ, tip, tilt. DZ is the focus. Leave this value alone.
Click the Submit button"
If we leave this value alone, then the value for DZ is zero (zero is the default value in the DZ box), and the focus goes off by ~1000 microns (!!!).
Should the instructions have said something like: "Note the Z value of the trim. This value has to be entered in the DZ box."?
Once the focus is off by ~1000 microns, the donut system was not able to recover without human intervention to get the focus value closer to optimal focus.
I could not see a big different tonight between the DX/DY/tip/tilt on and the DX/DY/tip/tilt off in the ellipticities of the stars--the ellipticities in my crowded fields seemed large to me.

observer1 froze completely during the early morn. Probably some bad interaction between SISPI memory leaks and Skype (we were running a video Skype connection continuously until it froze).
