Primary tabs

Date:
Monday, April 1, 2013
Telescope:
CTIO Blanco 4-m
Submitter:
Eric Huff , Nick Mostek
Submitter Email:
Observer Support:
Hernan Tirado
Night Assistant:
Alberto Alvarez
Also Present:
Omar Estay & G. Schumacher from LS
Problems:

We had significant trouble with pointing  (offsets  above 50" after correction) at the beginning of the night. Alberto and Hernan resolved this issue after 9 PM, and pointing was stable through the rest of the night.

Comments:

The 9:01 PM TCS failure, which had occurred on two previous nights, did not recur.

Alberto made some adjustments to the louvres and wind screen around 6:45 UTC. This may have improved the seeing, from 1.4" to 1.1", for the next two hours.
