---------- 2nd half:

- For a few frames (~174445-174451) , the seeing was worse than before and "donutfit" returned values larger than 14 for all CCDs. We executed a focus sequence (hexapod off), but continued the exposure queue afterwards without manually adjusting the focus (hexapod back on). The seeing noticeably improved, and "donutfit" returned better values (between 12 and 14).

UPDATE: going back to the image with the worst seeing (174447), we realized that the values returned by "donutfit" depend on the brightness of the measured donut. Bright donuts return values of ~12, fainter ones >14 . Given that none of the donut diagnostic plots are showing anything particularly anomalous, maybe we just hit a patch of bad seeing.

The IRAF sequence to determine the focus manually does not quite work as described on the webpage: mscdisp loads a binned version of the entire image instead of a full-resolution single chip.

- Observer Console kept needing to be reloaded. Also, Anja was finally tired enough to accidentally hit "clear" instead of the backspace button to delete an exposure. It is just so close to the unlock button...  ;-)

----- 2nd half:

The other telescopes also reported bad seeing.
