Dome shutter remains open after the end of the night.

Comments:

Another good night at NBTW, although this maybe the last good observing night for the run given the upcoming weather. I hope I am wrong.

Please note, the telescope is running Calib2 right now. The dome shutter still remains open.

For the schedulers, the following stars were skipped from the queue because we approached twilight:

* BAT99 42

* RMS0646+1557

Please note: V1793 Ori still has the wrong coordinates. These were corrected again and the frame was taken during twilight.

All right. It's showtime!

Let's get back to another episode of the fourth season of ATV (A Man's TV) -- A Man's Journey in Estados Unidos

Episode 15 -- Georgia

Ah yes... The Peach State! The current home to your beloved observer and for many others who come observe at TBTW and NBTW.

This one is most definitely the most biased state for me to review as I have been here for nearly half a decade but oh well.

Georgia is a very unique state in the South because of how vividly different the capital of the city, Atlanta, is compared to the rest of the state. This city is definitely one of the most happening places with SOO many concerts, festivals, and tours happening somewhere almost every month. For those who have never been, the largest aquarium and busiest airport in the US, the headquarters of Coca Cola and CNN, the birthplace of Martin Luther King Jr. are all located in this city... Need I say more? Georiga also shares parts of the Appalachian Mountains where there are tons and tons of pretty hikes and waterfalls, all surrounded by thousands of trees! I highly recommend the Cloudland Canyon National Park if you are in the area.

Additionally, in the foothills of the mountains, there exists one of my favourite places in the US, the city of Helen! It is a bizzare german town that pops out of nowhere when driving around the hills. They have the longest running Oktoberfest in the US with the best german food and live polka music for you to vibe to. The south east side of this state borders the Atlantic Ocean where the first city of the state, Savannah, can be found. Oh man what a gorgeous city we have here, with a culture and history richer than many other parts of the US! The spanish moss from the live oak trees, the historical significance of every single district and of course, they have the best beaches in the state. South of the city, you can find an archipelago called the Golden Isles which is such a fun place to go vacation, especially at the Driftwood beach. Also, if you are craving to see alligators but are too lazy to go to Florida, go check out the Okefenokee National Refuge. Finally, I have to mention that if you also have the time, one of the coolest things I have ever seen in this country, is the Ocmulgee Mounds. This historical site spans 12,000 years of human habitation and they literally had council meetings in these mounds way back when... whoa! It is so impressive that this site has survived this long!

To the avid reader, I say this, if you want to escape the cold or the mountains and try a more warm and humid climate, come explore Georgia! There's so much to see here.

I give Georgia a 7/10!

That's all for today folks. Tune in tomorrow for another episode of ATV!
