Problems with the dome.

At the end of the night, when I tried to close the shutter, it opened automatically. I also noted that the dome had an incorrect alignment. Because of the incorrect alignment problem I could not point the telescope to the dome flat position. It was not possible to move the dome from the console, so I could not re align it. I tried many times to close the shutter, but it continued opening automatically.

Partial solution: a) In order to close the shutter of the dome I had to turn off the master power in the console in the precise moment that the shutter was closed. b) I moved the telescope manually to the dome flat position to take the calibrations.

TO DO:

When the calibrations had finished please check what happened with the dome, it seems to be a mechanical problem. After of that probably will be a good idea to take again the calibrations with the precise position for the dome flats, use the script ctiopi.calibrations.

GSU team: Please check the calibrations (flats), I pointed the telescope to the flat dome position by eyes.

Comments:

I left the calibrations running at the end of the night.

Clouds passing the most of the night, overcast the last quarter of the night.

At the beginning of the night the telescope had not a good pointing, Manuel Hernandez and I fixed it.
