Despite spanning a remarkable variety of properties including mass, metallicity and horizontal branch morphology, severe and variable extinction has often thwarted detailed analyses of the globular clusters of the Milky Way bulge and direct comparisons to other globular cluster (sub)populations. We present results from recent and ongoing investigation of these clusters using deep, wide-field near-infrared photometry independently and also in combination with the plethora of existing photometry and spectroscopy. The results and their homogenity facilitate not only the characterization of inter- and intra-cluster relations and comparison to evolutionary models, but can also corroborate recent results regarding the extinction law of the inner Milky Way.
